Yoga and Potluck Lunch

What? An opportunity to Revive, Relax, Reflect and Reconnect


How? With Yoga, Pranayama, Sustenance and Social Interaction

stretch-out (basic yoga bends, twists and poses for fitness and flexibility) 

work-out (fast-paced dynamic exercises and moves)

chill-out (pranayama breathing techniques and deep relaxation moments)

hang-out (potluck lunch and get together)

help-out (proceeds will be donated to North Texas Food Bank)


When? Saturday, January 16th, 2010

Yoga  - 11.00 am to 12.30 pm

Lunch -  from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm

Please register by Sunday, January 10th, 2010 for yoga, lunch or both

Where? Indian Creek HOA clubhouse, 1689 Bandera Drive, Carrollton, TX 75010-3222

How much?  FREE. We will collect a voluntary donation for North Texas Food Bank  Suggested donation - $10 per person at event in cash or check payable to North Texas Food Bank



Why? A fun afternoon spent with congenial company, sharing lunch and advice after doing yoga n pranayama, to help a worthy cause, is a wonderful way to experience wellness and peace, enjoy good food and great conversation, and establish lasting connections with like-minded friends within the IIT alum family.


Who? for IIT-NT spouses and special invitees





Meet, greet and register at 10.30 am.

Yoga from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. 

Lunch get together from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm.



If you register for yoga, you will receive separate email with guidelines. Very simple moves and poses, suitable for both beginner and advanced level.

Group Size: for yoga only, Minimum 8 and Maximum 16.

Credentials of Vineeta Salvi Walia:
Learnt yoga from her father at the age of 12 years, practicing yoga since then.
Completed Level 3 International Teachers Training Course at Haridwar, India with Swami Ramdev, Founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth.
Completed Course in Creativity and Personal Mastery under the auspices of Columbia University in New York, Spring 2008.
Academic Honors: MBA Finance (from Bombay Univ) and Master of Science in Finance from Boston College (GPA 4.0, top of class)
Professional Experience: International Banking Executive - has worked at various management levels with well-known multinational banks in India, Germany, Australia and USA.
